About YourPilotStore
YourPilotstore.com founder Paul Vitale has been involved in aviation since the Vietnam War, when he served as a crewchief of a UH1 helicopter. After the war, he earned his A&P mechanic certification and worked as an aircraft mechanic for several large airlines and aircraft maintenance companies.
In 1994, Paul earned his private pilot license, and later added his instrument rating. Paul bought his first aircraft, a Cessna 172M, in 1994. Ever since being responsible for his first helicopter in 1967, flying low over of the Mekong Delta, Paul has been acutely aware of the importance of reliable, high-quality aviation equipment, training and supplies.
Today, YourPilotStore customers find that Paul has made his personal motto from those days the mission statement of his business. He guarantees top-notch service and prompt delivery:
"Remember," says Paul, "a good crew chief never comes up short."
"Bogey, 11 o'clock"
What's this with the dog up there, you ask?
Our mascot "Bogey" is a fawn and white boxer. Bogey is both smart and strong, just like his owner. He loves to hang around the hangar during maintenance, and rolled up underneath the flight planning PC.
Bogey loves to fly. His landings aren't that great yet, but he's very alert at spotting other traffic, and sometimes even barks back at ATC.
